Introduction
Hale Farm House is a historic grade 2 listed building.
situated in a rural lane within the Parish of Chiddingly.
The nearest garage/shop is 1.5 miles away at Golden Cross as you come into the village from A22
We have facilities for walkers and cyclists and we are dog friendly.
Nearest public transport is 20 minutes away at Lewes where there are trains to London, Gatwick, Newhaven and Brighton etc.
There is ample parking for 5 cars on the flat gravel drive outside the house.
All three bedrooms are on the first floor. The staircase is wide with 14 steps. We can assist at all times with baggage but guests do have to be able to climb the stairs with or without assistance. Unfortunately the guest part of the house is at present unsuitable for wheelchair users.

Breakfast and other meals
We provide a varied cooked breakfast menu and can cater for special diets provided we have some notice.
We can also provide, at additional cost, packed lunches and picnic hampers for those going out for the day or to Glyndebourne as long as we have advanced notice.
There are tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms and there is a fridge/freezer in the reception hall/dining room that guests can share.
The village has three local pubs which provide meals.
Bedrooms
The Rosemount is a very spacious double bedded room with shower en suite.
The Hale Green room is a very spacious twin bedded room with adjacent bathroom.
The Honeywick room adjoins the Hale Green and is double bedded. The two rooms with the bathroom form an ideal family complex or a suite for friends or those travelling with a nanny or carer.
Dining Room
The spacious dining room is also the reception room.
Menus are provided in large print
We are flexible with times for breakfast and the food is cooked to order and special diets catered for.
We do not play background music.
Outdoor Facilities
There is a paved surface with two very shallow steps leading into the garden and the grassed area leads to fields beyond. They are bordered by a river with a bridge which forms part of the Weald Way footpath.
Guests are welcome to sit in the garden and to walk over the fields but we can make no guarantee as far as uneven ground is concerned. The nature of the land is undulating and uninvited foxes, badgers and rabbits and even moles with their burrowing habits cause daily change in the surfaces.
We also have retired horses and ponies grazing on the fields and overwintering sheep.
We can, however, provide, what we think are, stunning views.
